Leather bound and gold embossed, Scribes Plus Ltd produces individually hand - bound Books of Remembrance in leather, designed specifically to suit the needs of churches and cemeteries. Covers are generally gold blocked with the name of the church or cemetery and a cross and are available in a variety of colours.

For most churches we recommend a Book size of 35cm x 28cm (14” x 11”) closed, in either a loose leaf (post binder mechanism) or a sewn volume. The Book is then dated to allow a 1/2 page for each day of the year. This has space for approximately 14 simple two line entries per day, more than enough for most churches. Books of other sizes and page layouts can be supplied upon request.

In order to maintain the quality and continuity of style in the calligraphy, we recommend that the Book or the loose pages are returned to Scribes Plus to add new inscriptions. Our team has many years experience in the production and inscribing of Books of Remembrance. Each Book is hand bound to a specification agreed with the client at the outset and you are cordially invited to call us to discuss your requirements. Delivery generally takes 4 weeks from receipt of your order.

Most of our Books are supplied with the cover gold embossed and the date heading of the pages already completed by one of our many skilled calligraphers. Should you require a Book with blank pages and/or a different cover treatment, please ring for a quotation.

Scribes Plus can also supply purpose built, lockable cabinets to display our volumes. These craftsmen built cabinets can be made in a variety of timbers to match existing furniture and surroundings. For pricing of Books and inscribing, please refer to our separate price list.
